Just a brief announcement to members and friends of Guhyasamaja Center:
Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche (our center’s founding teacher and Spiritual Director) has agreed to teach in DC on Sunday, July 17, 2011.
The topic will be Kalachakra Six Session Guru Yoga. This teaching will be occurring just after the Kalachakra Initiation by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in DC. In the teaching, Rinpoche will explain the essential points on how to keep the commitments and vows that one takes during the Kalachakra itself. It will be a very precious chance to study with one of the greatest Buddhist Masters of our time….More details to follow, but sharing this now so that folks can save the date.
If local folks want to volunteer to help out with this event (in advance and/or on the day), then you can email me to let me know that. Also, if anyone wants to help out by sponsoring an aspect of the event (e.g. flowers, transportation of the throne, sound system, part of the space rental, part of costs related to Rinpoche’s stay, etc.) also please let me know.
