Dear Friends,

Please join us for special event:

Prayers for Peace
led by Ven Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche Losang Jampa

Rinpoche will lead prayers on behalf of the Tibetans and all those suffering persecution around the world as well as the victims of the natural disasters in China and Myanmar.

We will also have a relaxing picnic together. Please bring your families and friends, children are welcome! Please bring a covered dish to share.

Date: Saturday, May 31 — 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm
Location: Hains Point, Washington, DC located at the far tip of East Potomac Park

Directions:

From Virginia
Take 395 North across the 14th Street Bridge,
Take the Potomac Park / Park Police exit (first exit) just over the bridge.
Take the exit towards Potomac Park / Park Police.
Follow the signs towards Hains Point
This take you past the Park Police Headquarters
Take a Left at the Deadend onto Buckeye Drive (the golf course will be in front of you)
Take a Right onto Ohio Drive at the end of Buckeye
Drive past the golf course to the tip of Hains Point.

From Maryland
Take 395 South
Take the exit towards Potomac Park / Park Police
Follow the signs towards Hains Point
This take you past the Park Police Headquarters
Take a Left at the Deadend onto Buckeye Drive (the golf course will be in front of you)
Take a Right onto Ohio Drive at the end of Buckeye
Drive past the golf course to the tip of Hains Point.

From DC
Go to Ohio Drive, near the Lincoln Memorial
Keep following Ohio Drive along the Potomac and CROSS UNDERNEATH 395
Take a Left at the Deadend onto Buckeye Drive (the golf course will be in front of you)
Take a Right onto Ohio Drive at the end of Buckeye
Drive past the golf course to the tip of Hains Point.

Park in the reserved area. There are 4 picnic areas, we’ll be gathering in one of them.

    Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche leads prayers on behalf of the Tibetans and all those suffering persecution around the world as well as the victims of the natural disasters in China and Myanmar. At Rinpoche’s suggestion, we will be reading the Golden Light Sutra together. Copies of the FPMT translation will be available for a suggested offering of $20 (cash or check only).

    We will also have a relaxing picnic together. Please bring your families and friends, children are welcome! Please bring a covered dish to share.
