Today we celebrate the Buddha’s first teaching, the Turning of the Wheel of Truth to the five ascetics at Deer Park in present day Sarnath. (For more information visit BuddhaNet).
As on all Holy Days, the merit accumulated through performing virtuous actions is multiplied 10million times.
I will offer Lama Chopa with tsok tonight for the benefit of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Gyumed Khensur Rinpoche Losang Jampa, and all our teachers, the members and friends of Guhyasamaja Center, and all sentient beings in samsara.
For those of you who know Ven. Khenpo Kalsang Gyaltsen (Sakya Phuntsok Ling, Silver Spring, MD), please keep him in your prayers on this Holy Day. He is in the hospital in D.C. recovering from brain surgery according to his Center.
