Purification Practice Event: Vajrasattva and the Four Opponent Powers

The Buddha taught that all negative karma can be purified. Purification is a crucial part of our spiritual practice, and it’s a powerful way to find relief from the heavy burden of the past. It helps close the door to the lower realms.

Based on teachings given by Gyumed Kensur Rinpoche Losang Jampa and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Ven. Tendrol introduces the practice of the four opponent powers. In addition, she leads a meditation on the Vajrasattva deity purification practice. The session includes mantra recitation, silent meditation, and the contemplation of selected topics from the lam rim – the stages on the path to enlightenment. By the end of the session, participants will be comfortable with the Vajrasattva practice so they can continue to do it on a daily basis just as all the great lamas recommend.
