Bodhicitta is the moon of the mind

Bodhicitta is the moon of the mind.
Bodhicitta is the sun of the mind.
Bodhicitta is the jewel of the mind.
Bodhicitta is the nectar of the mind.

Khunu Rinpoche Tenzin Gyaltsen. Vast as the Heavens Deep as the Sea. Wisdom Publications. 1999.

This is an extraordinary, poetic text about bodhicitta. The short verses are packed with meaning and yet shine in their simplicity. For beginning students of classical Tibetan, Rinpoche’s praises to bodhicitta are relatively accessible compared to texts that were translated from Sanskrit to Tibetan (e.g., Nagarjuna’s works, Shantideva, etc.). Gareth Sparthem’s translation is very good, and the book contains both the Tibetan and his translation side-by-side.
